Access Log Manager
Access Log Manager - what function does it have and how you will be able to use the information you can find inside it.
An access log is a text file containing an extensive report on all of the files accessed by your Internet site visitors. All the files which were requested in one way or another shall be included, so if you have a PHP script program and a website visitor opens only the home page, for example, you may find plenty of files in the log. The reason is that there are resources on the home page which are embedded - parts of other Internet pages, pics, etcetera. These files shall be listed in the access log, so you're able to get a detailed picture of the way your site works. The info is in plain text format, so the logs are often referred to as "raw data" as well. An access log shows the name of each requested file, the path to it, the date it was accessed, and also the user’s IP address, web browser and OS. More information, such as the referrer site, is usually included too. A log file can be processed by various desktop applications for statistical purposes as an addition to the web stats generated by your hosting server.

Access Log Manager in Shared Web Hosting
Our custom Hepsia Control Panel has a section dedicated to various logs and the access logs are one of them. Once you sign in to your
shared web hosting account and navigate to this section, you'll find a list of all the
domain names and subdomains which you have. All it takes to allow the generation of access logs is to press a button which will be available next to each domain/subdomain. In case the option is enabled, you shall see a download link and also the file size so far, so you will be able to save the file to your PC and examine it or process it with some app. Enabling or disabling the logs takes effect instantly, so if you don't need one, you could stop it with only a click from the exact same section of the Control Panel. You'll still be able to access the already developed content by clicking on the Download link.

Access Log Manager in Semi-dedicated Hosting
Our leading-edge web hosting platform will create access logs for any Internet site hosted inside a
semi-dedicated server account, as long as this feature is permitted. All domain names and subdomains that you have will be listed within the Access/Error Logs section of the Hepsia Control Panel, which we offer with all the accounts, so if you need our system to start creating logs for each of them, you should simply click on the small button on the right side of the respective domain/subdomain and change the default Off option to On. You'll be able to stop this function at any time by following the same steps. You will find a Download link for every single log inside the same exact section of the CP, so you will be able to save the content generated by our system in .txt format with no more than a mouse click. An existing log file can be downloaded even after the function has been disabled, so you'll still be able to check out the data that has already been generated.
